Party On with Hot Tubs

Garden party season is almost with us. It’s time to dust down the garden furniture, uncover the barbecue and hang up the solar fairy lights. If you plan on hosting several summer parties this year, why not do things a bit differently? With Argos deals on hot tubs, finding the right spa for your garden and home couldn’t be easier. A hot tub can be the inspiration for some fun, relaxing and luxurious social gatherings that will have your guests talking for years to come.

The key word for a hot tub party is informal. After all, the dress code is very casual! It’s probably a good idea to make sure your guests are totally comfortable with frolicking in their swimwear together, but if you intend to invite friends who don’t know each other very well, it would be best to offer activities and entertainment other than sitting in the spa for those who prefer not to get wet. Plenty of seating well away from the water, with music or television provided, or perhaps just a quiet area for guests to sit and chat, will ensure that everyone has something to do. Seating and tables will be a key part of the party anyway, as people rarely stay in the tub all evening.

For special occasions, you could set a theme for your spa soiree. A Hawaiian Beach party, with loud shirts and shorts, lei garlands and straw hats will tie in well with the summer weather and get everyone in the holiday mood. Put up coloured decorations and inflatable palm trees and lay on pineapple cocktails and fresh seafood and you’ll be on to a winner. Treat your guests like Hollywood stars with a VIP party, with plenty of glamour and sparkle, chilled Champagne and posh canapés. Have a black and white theme for this one and get guests to wear glamorous outfits with star-style swimwear underneath. If you’re feeling patriotic, you can organise a red, white and blue themed party to celebrate this year’s Jubilee and lay on typically British party food, such as cucumber sandwiches, prawn cocktails and mini pork pies.

A hot tub party needn’t just be for the summer months. Organise a winter stargazing party, where your guests can be amateur astronomers, or why not include the hot tub in a Christmas or New Year party and have mulled wine or warming liqueurs instead of chilled drinks. Whatever the time of year, a hot tub provides the ideal place to get together, have fun and relax with friends and family.
